Inciting Joy is a recently published book by Ross Gay, the author of The Book of Delights.

I have read…no, more truthfully…I have eaten these two books. They are coursing through the synapses of my mind, the pockets of my pancreas, and the corners of my colon. This guy pokes life from a stinky carcass.

So that’s it…no more prose I can offer today than to recommend some great prose for our time. This is good food. The kind that sticks to your ribs.

Inciting Joy by Ross Gay. Read this. Eat this. If you can afford it, buy it. If your library doesn’t carry it, I’ll buy it for you. Yeah, I wanted to put my money where my mouth is today. This is good food.
