Eye Contact
Eye Contact by debgrant
Eye contact: a basic social skill.
We know the power of eye contact.
It creates a bond. It created a bond that created us.
We used it as a weapon with family and friends sometimes: Look at me!
We got lazy with eye contact these last couple of years.
Eyes had to work harder over a mask. Anything that got harder, got less energy.
Zoom meetings were eyeball-rolling events. Look in the camera, not at me.
It is important because we lost each other for a while and we missed each other.
We need to start again.
A small gesture that is packed with power is a good start.
Please look at me. I see you. Let’s find each other again.
