Help them care for their neighbors

It has been another disaster event for millions, more specifically in Texas and yes, for me as well. There will be poems later. Right now, if you are willing and able to donate funds to a trusted source, I offer these two:

St.Paul/San Pablo Episcopal Church

Their rector, Ed Gomez is a friend and their ministry focus includes the homeless in their neighborhood. They sheltered them in the church until they lost power. Then turned to finding motel rooms. They continue to do good work. I would trust Ed with my first born if I had any.

First Lutheran Church, Galveston

Their pastor, Richard Rhoades and their members were champions during Harvey. They helped me personally and my former congregation. They have an on-going ministry called Feed Galveston (50,000 hot meals prepared and distributed to neigbors in need). They know what they are doing and do it well. I trust them with every cent of your donation.
