A favorite poet in my growing up years was Piet Hein. He wrote little poems for the Danish underground during WWII to pass messages and later in life he kept writing little poems called Grooks. One grook was simply “If no thought your mind does visit, make your speech not too explicit.”
No big thoughts today for me. Nothing profound. I am, like many, vaccinated. Slowly, and carefully moving about in the world. Anxious for loved ones. Finding ways to be kind including to myself, generous, tender.
I am working on a project or two. I am expanding my Jazzwater business into small publishing. With the little book format(100 page 5x7, pocket book) I want to amplify voices worth hearing, amplify generosity with giftable books, amplify small narrative works that make a soulful impact. I have had a couple folks donate some startup funds toward my efforts. Jazzwater will operate in a non-profit manner but donations to it are not currently tax-deductible. If you are interested and able in being one of those Jazzwater supporters, I will be grateful for the help. I can offer my deep thanks and a free copy of Jazzwater publishing’s new book. Any profits generated by my artwork on my Etsy shop will also generate funds for the Jazzwater publishing startup funds. More information will be shared in the next weeks - especially news of the first little book published by Jazzwater - a collaborative project by three authors.
More ELOGOS will come in the days ahead. Until then, thank you so much for your faithful readership and all that you do in the name of love and justice.
