I believe that great things are possible when we know we are loved. I have witnessed this in other people. I have witnessed this in myself. I also know what happens when we don’t know love. It is a dark, ugly, and isolated place. Love comes with baggage. The baggage is suffering. So we either toss love out the door with its baggage or we make room.
So this is love…
My best friend, my dog Bailey died three weeks ago. Right now, the suffering is taking up a lot of room. The love has not moved out. It is here to stay. It, like Bailey, will always find me.
Many of you have been long-time readers of ELOGOS and I wanted to share with you this great love that has made me a better human. Loving Bailey expanded my capacity to do great things because I know I am loved. May all of you believe you are loved. May you give room for love and suffering to co-exist. May you love beyond what you thought was possible.
Thanks for this, absolutely wonderful pictures and the song said so much as well. I think the ending quote was especially telling: objects...are closer than they appear. What a blessing that was to have Bailey all those years. Yea for Bailey! CB
So very sorry for your loss, Deb. The pictures reflected that special love between best friends.
