What Then Shall We Do? by debgrant
A friend prompted my thoughts with a question about what I thought was the Endgame for Project 2025 and current administration.
I believe the Endgame for Project 2025 is differently motivated by different players but the outcome will be the same.
+ RFK is motivated by health - and poorly informed by his own theories. He sees vaccines and other dependance on medicines as reducing our immune systems - which is partly true. His Endgame is to re-wire the human species for stronger immune systems. To get there is simple - survival of the fittest. Reduce the population to only those who will generate stronger DNA. First step, kill off the bad DNA by letting viruses weed out the weak ones and strengthen immune systems of the strong ones with good DNA. Reduce the population to good DNA carriers.
+ Stephen Miller, JD Vance and minions are motivated by racism and white nationalism. Endgame is reduce the population of non-white people. They use the excuse of religion but their view of Christianity is poison and has nothing to do with following Jesus' teaching to care for the least among us. Empower white men to crush women who they see as weak and only useful for propagating more white children. They use fear-mongering about crime to turn people on each other. First step: Crush efforts of multiculture fairness, round up those who are not white or who are liberal and kick them out of the country. Incite more fear to drive others out and deter border crossing. Kill people using whatever method they can get away with. Reduce the population to whites only.
+ Elites, Rich CEOs, GOP underbelly are motivated by ending democracy which gives power to people for whom they have no regard and who they do not trust to govern. The population needs to be reduced to those who are forced to earn a living doing whatever work they want them to do without regard to working conditions. Crush the labor unions, regulations regarding safety. Let people die. Reduce the population to those hungry enough to be their slaves.
I could go on but you get the point. This won't end well.
I have been listening to several friends and my own voice and I have heard how much this poison has reached into our lives and changed us all. I've been eating badly and taking fewer walks and spending head space with every event that this evil has infected. I hear my own voice wanting violence to kill people who are celebrating this evil. Some are resisting. Some are circling the wagons around their own families. Some are depressed. Some are angry and struggling with what to do with their own feelings of hatred and wanting people to die to cleanse the planet. This is not who I am. I don’t think it is who you - the readers of ELOGOS are. We have already begun to allow this evil to change us. WE CANNOT LET IT.
What then shall we do?
Today, what we can do is not let our days be so totally consumed with this poison. My new focus lately is Phillipians 4: 8
"Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."
I have learned in the last few years that gratitude is a way forward. It doesn't fix the problem but it is a way of keeping this evil from changing who we are. When I think about these things as the text says, it generates gratitude and gratitude creates a space in my head and heart to remember who I am. I am a good person. I am a follower of Jesus who focused our attention on those who are in need or shoved to the margins by injustice. I am a person who believes in being a good steward of our resources which includes the planet and the space it is spinning in. I am a person who values life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That is who I am. TODAY what I am going to do is NOT allow THEM to change who I am. TODAY, that is the good fight I want for you, dear friends.
Peace,
Deb
Thank you for this message, Pastor Deb. I really need this reminder of who I am, too, and I have friends who don’t like how this evil is changing us. Again, thank you.
Julie, Child of God.
P. S. What do I do with the question, if I am a child of God and accept that every other person is, too, how do I reconcile the evil that is happening at the hands of these people? The anger I feel toward them is so deep you could almost say I hate them. And that just isn’t me.
Thank you for providing this space today for me to express this. The passage from Philippians provides help for me. 🙏
Amen.
